They met through a mutual friend, and by the time he was prepared to pop the question a few years later, she had more than a small suspicion it was coming — so much so she jokingly patted his pocket in search of a ring box on the day he was in fact planning to propose.

Somehow, though, she didn’t notice the box and thus didn’t ruin the surprise when he asked her to be his wife during a visit to a pumpkin patch last fall. And if she needed another reason for that to be her favorite time of year, she’s sure to get it this October, when they say “I do”!
