the story of
brooke + paul
and engagement photography in Independence
~*~
A couple degrees of separation between them eventually led to a set-up, with him having been told she’d recently won a chili competition at work. Fortunately, he liked chili and figured it couldn’t hurt to give her a chance — only to find she had many other winning qualities, as well.
He was so taken with her, in fact, that he was prepared to propose just 10 months later. The only problem was that when he started to set things in motion by telling her he wanted to make a trip to her university alma mater, she decided to invite a number of her sorority sisters — which meant he had to let all of them in on his plan to pop the question and hope they wouldn’t spill the beans!
Maybe somewhat miraculously, the proposal remained a surprise. And even more importantly, she said yes!
Brooke and Paul: It’s easy to see what a perfect match you make, and I’d say these pictures turned out pretty perfectly, too. You were also such a delight to work with, and I’m even more excited now to share in your big day next summer!
