the story of
edith + nate
and wedding photography in Kansas City
~*~
When their story started, it was with a spark a lot like many young loves — with her catching his eye and him asking his friend’s input on whether she might like him.
But as their story progressed, it was with a level of intentionality not as common for college-aged couples. Their church had a set of stipulations for entering a courtship — such as car ownership and a minimum required balance in the bank — to ensure they were in a position to start a life together.
They took a big step toward that shared life last year, when he asked her to marry him through a proposal at church. He sang to her then, and he did so again at the altar on their wedding day — surrounded by all the support and joy of a close-knit community that seemed just as excited as the bride and groom to celebrate this milestone.
Edith and Nate: I know the pandemic required more than a little flexibility on your part, but I think the wedding you had — even if a bit smaller and later than originally planned — turned out perfectly. I loved capturing the occasion and hope you find these photos (and more to come) let you always relive it!
date: 03.06.21 | venue: Apostolic Revival Church (Kansas City, Missouri)
