They have her cat and her college roommate’s allergies to thank for bringing them together, with her starting her sophomore year at Mizzou in sudden need of a new apartment where her pet wouldn’t be a problem.

As it turned out, what she found was not only a new set of roommates but also the start of what would be a great love story with one of them — ultimately leading to this wedding day! About their vision for the day, Jori shares:

We wanted a Christmas theme with pine green, holly berry and pinecone accents. And we chose Boulevard as our venue because Dillan loves it. Another special detail was our processional song: “Yellow” by Coldplay. I have an inside joke with my sister, who was our officiant, that no matter where we are, we always let each other know when Coldplay is on. So I hoped she’d laugh when she heard it.

Jori and Dillan: As a cat lover myself, your story might be one of my new favorites. And I’m also a huge fan of an outfit switch to a stylish jumpsuit for the dancing portion of the evening — especially after seeing the look pulled off perfectly on your day! That and all your other little details made this a beautiful event to capture, and we hope your photos and video footage help you always hold onto it.
