For about five years, they were just the best of friends. But fortunately, they eventually took a chance on a first date — which put them on the path to a wedding day!

About their wedding vision, Kayla shares:

We chose a fall wedding for the cool weather, changing leaves and, of course, football season. And we chose to incorporate the color purple because it’s my favorite, and James’ late mom also loved the color. Most of all, we wanted an amazing day with our amazing friends and family surrounding us — with good food, drinks flowing and dancing the night away!
