Ten years after she caught his eye on their college basketball court, this day came to solidify the union they’ve formed since then.

It was obviously a long road – one peppered with injuries, multiple degree programs, out-of-state moves and even a short-lived break-up as they tried to be pragmatic in establishing their individual adult lives. But none of this could stand in the way of a match that was clearly meant-to-be, and their wedding was a wonderful celebration of that – as well as an opportunity for their family and friends to get a peek into the world they share together.

Michelle explains:

Neither Mike nor I are from the KC area, so we had a lot of family and friends traveling to be with us on our special day! We chose Californos (as a reception venue) so that our guests could get a “true” KC experience, and we had activities planned all weekend covering other KC hotspots. We wanted our guests to have a glimpse into our life and to explore the city we love and call home!

Michelle and Mike: Although we aren’t out-of-towners, it was fun for us also to get a glimpse into your life and to share in this important part of your story. May this milestone be just the first of many happy days of marriage!
