the story of
lucy + chris
and engagement photography in Topeka
~*~
It began in an advanced-placement history course many of their classmates dropped, leaving them the sole occupants of their column of seats.
That fall semester of 2010, she knew him only as the tall, rather quiet kid at the desk behind hers. She, conversely, was the future theater major who insisted they exchange phone numbers, ostensibly for the purpose of studying. But rather than a study partner, what they each received from that exchange was a life partner – first, of course, in the form of a high-school sweetheart.
Five and a half years later, Lucy McDonald and Chris Donnelly can add college sweethearts – and fiancés – to the list of incarnations their relationship has seen. And come November 19, these two who can recall becoming boyfriend and girlfriend following their first dance together will tie the knot and share their first dance as husband and wife.
Lucy and Chris: Even being so young, you have so much history as a couple, and it was a joy to capture on camera that relationship you’ve built. I can’t wait to get the rest of your story written and, especially, to document your big day this fall!
