Summer is a big season for these two, dating back to their chance meeting at a bar the summer before their senior year of college. Soon afterward, they spent time along Massachusetts Street in Lawrence, Kansas – neither of them knowing that two summers later, they’d tie the knot in the same park where they walked and talked on that first date.

When their wedding day arrived, it was as quintessentially Kansas-in-the-summer as it could be. But despite the steamy triple-digit heat, it was a truly beautiful occasion with so many thoughtful details (including four generations of her family’s wedding dresses Emily arranged to have photographed together!). And most importantly, it was a fitting celebration of what these two have found in each other and of the future they’ve promised to share.

Emily and Jake: Capturing this day was definitely worth every drop of sweat that went into it. Thanks for trusting us with your memories, and may you have many more incredible ones to come!
