the story of
alex + chris
and engagement photography in Shawnee
~*~
In the magic that modern technology lends to finding love, he was her first date through the Bumble app – and she was his best and last.
They bonded over an enjoyment of being active and outdoors, so it was perfectly fitting their first date was at a park (where, also fittingly, we took these engagement photos!). As their relationship progressed, he taught her to climb, and she fell in love with it as she was also falling for him.
With Arkansas being one of their favorite climbing destinations, it was the perfect place for a proposal – which he somehow pulled off without her suspecting it, even while not being a great secret-keeper. She knew he had a ring and had asked her dad for her hand, yet she was taken totally by surprise at the start of last holiday season when he popped the question in front of the Christmas tree in Bentonville’s town square. She said yes, of course, and now they’re planning a wedding for next spring!
Alex and Chris: I think it’s so perfect you opted for engagement photos at the site of your first date, and I also love the beauty of nature that’s on display in these images, as well as how well that fits the two of you. You’re clearly a wonderful match and were wonderful to work with, and I can’t wait to capture you again in 2024!
