the story of
liz + erik
and engagement photography in Kansas City
~*~
Before they were an item, they were an idea her brother had for turning a newfound friend into family. “Marry my sister and we can be brothers,” he suggested – to which Erik gamely replied that he could provide land and livestock on his end of the transaction.
It was all a joke until he and Liz met, at which point things soon got serious. Their relationship withstood the test of distance, with her living in Dallas. And after a few years together, they’re planning to marry on his family farm – where they’re also building a home on land he did in fact provide. A proposal just prior to last Christmas put these plans in motion, and they’ll officially begin their next chapter with an October wedding where, fittingly, her brother will be the best man.
Liz and Erik: You have such a fun origin story, and you were also so fun to photograph. I hope you love these images and can’t wait to capture you again this fall!
