Surprising her with a proposal wouldn’t be easy, given that they’d been together for several years — and the engagement ring in his possession was one she’d picked out.

But despite these giveaways that he’d soon be popping the question, the detail that truly tipped her off was his insistence that their five beloved dogs didn’t need to be part of the family photo session he’d scheduled. Because as it turned out, that session last autumn was mostly about setting the stage for him to ask her to marry him — which she will do next autumn!

And of course with the timing of those milestones, it was very fitting to take their engagement photos during the autumn in between. Kimber and Taylor: I’m glad we had such a perfect day and such pretty colors for showcasing the two of you. And I’m sure that before we know it, I’ll be capturing you again on your big day next October!
