For a couple who started dating in October and got engaged at a pumpkin patch several years later, an October wedding was an obvious choice — and so were all the other perfectly personalized details they put into their day.

Details like the rustic decor the bride pulled largely from her own home, as well as the reception venue they both loved for its string lights and large outdoor space beside a lake. Also important to them both was honoring their families — with her wearing one grandmother’s engagement ring on her right hand and serving her other grandmother’s peanut butter balls as a reception treat. Another important item on their dessert menu was a birthday cake celebrating the groom’s father’s 80th birthday, which happened to fall precisely on this date that now shares its significance with another big milestone!
