They grew up in separate states before meeting as college students at Pittsburg State University, forging a bond in their first year together that would carry them through their next few years of dating long-distance, after she moved home to Kansas City.

Another move took them both to a new home in Nashville — but when it came time to tie the knot, there was no question that Kansas City was where they’d mark this milestone. And what a beautiful occasion it was, complete with colors and textures fitting for fall; a lovely urban-garden setting for their ceremony; and centerpieces pairing pretty florals with vintage cigar boxes, perfect for complimenting the mid-century feel of their reception space.
