the story of
alex + steven
and wedding photography in Overland Park
~*~
When they set a wedding date for the beginning of spring, they never could have guessed that they’d end up tying the knot on the hottest day of the year.
Of course, they also couldn’t have guessed that their original date would fall smack-dab in the middle of a pandemic that would stop the world in its tracks — requiring them to reschedule their wedding plans not once or twice but three times. The bright side of all that inconvenience was this beautiful backyard ceremony with their closest friends and family, which was so joyous you’d never guess it was a Plan B (or C or D!).
Alex and Steven: Your obvious giddiness to get married even in a much simpler way than you’d initially planned proves how much you were in this for each other, rather than any extravagant party. And your wedding truly was a snapshot of how life looks during this unprecedented time — reception caravan and all! I’m so glad to have gotten to capture this occasion and can’t wait to celebrate with you again on your traditional day this fall.
But for now, here’s a look at your fantastic first wedding!
