the story of
catherine + seth
and engagement photography in Kansas City
~*~
They may not have needed any assistance to get to a second date — but it didn’t hurt that the extra drinks provided by a well-meaning acquaintance required them to postpone driving and extend their first date through dinner.
That first date at Lifted Spirits in the Crossroads went so well, in fact, that it’s no surprise they found themselves taking engagement photos in the same area a few years later! And although wedding planning during a pandemic is pretty unprecedented in its difficulty, these two can see a bright future where things fall into place — in terms not only of their big day but also of an eventual Moroccan honeymoon, which will check one more continent off their list as world travelers.
Catherine and Seth: I couldn’t have asked for a better session for getting back into the swing of things post-quarantine. And I’m so glad that after all of our coronavirus-required rescheduling, we were rewarded with such a perfect night and perfect light. Of course, you two were the most perfect of all — and I hope these images are a fun foretaste of all the beauty that’s still to come on your wedding day!
Black cats get a bad rap in terms of bringing bad luck, but based on the beauty of this session, I’m going to say it may actually be good luck to have one show up to oversee your photo-taking!
