the story of
sam + patrick
and wedding photography + videography in Kansas City
~*~
She never could have guessed she’d meet her future husband while wearing holiday-themed leggings. But thank goodness for ugly sweater Christmas parties and for that one in particular, because it brought together this sweet couple and led to this day!
About their wedding vision, Sam shares:
We’ve always wanted to get married outside. So when Patrick and I saw our venue for the first time, it was love at first sight. It was the only venue we looked at, but it was THE one. Beautiful landscape and somewhat secluded, with a big hall for the reception and many windows to make the space open and light.
We wanted our guests to feel comfortable and free-flowing, just like our relationship. We are a go-with-the-flow couple and have a positive outlook, which is also why we chose the spring-like colors of heather lavender, gold, gray, sage and a pop of periwinkle. We also decided on a theme featuring a relaxed atmosphere, as well as rustic chic and boho tones.
We loved incorporating the Polo Club into our wedding by pairing our seating cards with horseshoes as gifts to our guests, reminding them that a horseshoe brings luck and they can place this gift in their home to let the luck pour in.
Sam and Patrick: It was a joy to work with you and to capture all the beauty of this day you created. Thank you so much for letting us be a part of it!
