They were friends who had a more-than-friends interest in each other in high school, but the timing wasn’t right. And any chance at a relationship really went out the window when college came around, with her attending K.U. and him Mizzou.

But not even a border war and several years of separate lives could stop that spark they’d always had. After graduating and returning to the Kansas City area, they met up and – still having that undeniable connection – were just naturally together ever after.

The next natural step after a few more years was a proposal, which he pulled off this past spring with just the right ring. And now, they’re well on their way to having a wedding planned for next fall!
