the story of
kassy + jason
and wedding photography + videography in Olathe & Lee’s Summit
Even in a world where introductions increasingly happen online, a blind date set up by a real live person can still do the trick in sparking a forever.
This is exactly what happened when his uncle, who happened to also be her coworker, suggested they meet. The rest is a wonderful history that led to this wedding day – which they hoped would be just as magnificent and meaningful as the rest of their journey thus far. About their vision for the day, Kassy shares:
We wanted our wedding to feel classic, traditional and timeless – and a lot of fun! We love the comfort, beauty and feel of fall, so we chose a November date and hoped to capture the essence of this time of year.
For our ceremony, we chose Prince of Peace because it is a beautiful church where I grew up attending and where Jason’s dad happened to lay brick for the newer addition.
For our reception, we loved having such a photogenic venue that felt like a fancy fairytale location. My dress and veil fit well in that setting, and also fitting was our seating chart that looked like a book of fairytales.
We also loved how we and our guests could explore the mansion’s various rooms with different vibes and could spread out from the dance floor if desired. The people we love are so happy for us and supportive of us, and we wanted an experience where everyone could catch up, celebrate, enjoy and make memories.
Kassy and Jason: It’s no small thing to orchestrate a fairytale-worthy wedding, but this one definitely did feel like magic. We hope living it was every bit as beautiful as you’d hoped and that we captured it in a way that will let you relive it for the rest of your lives!
