Timing is everything – and so, evidently, is patience. But she had no idea just how patient she was being during the almost-decade she taught across the hall from his uncle before this co-worker finally saw fit to set her up with his nephew (who also happens to be a teacher). Hindsight is 20/20, of course – and if only his uncle had known how well they’d hit it off, perhaps he’d have introduced them sooner!

What matters now, however, is that they’ve been inseparable ever since they first went for drinks in January 2021. By that December, she knew a proposal was imminent. But he still caught her by surprise when, after a visit to Union Station, he casually suggested seeing the Christmas tree at Crown Center. It was there, with ice skaters all around, that he popped the question – and what made this moment even more like a Hallmark movie was that they were seemingly alone in their own world, with no one else aware of what that had just occurred until they sought out a bystander to take their picture.

And what better way to mark the six-month anniversary of that magical milestone than with an engagement session at the site of their engagement! Kassy and Jason: I love that you picked photo spots that are significant to your story. I also love how these images turned out and look forward to capturing more of you at your next big milestone!
