the story of
becca + zac
and wedding photography + videography in excelsior springs
~*~
They’d known each other for only five months before the Army took him to Turkey for a year — but those early months were magnificent enough to keep them from questioning whether a long-distance relationship was worth attempting. And going into that year apart, he knew one thing for sure: If they made it through his deployment, he would marry her.
As it turned out, he couldn’t even wait the full year to propose — instead popping the question during a week they spent together in Croatia. He stuck with his proposal plans despite the engagement ring not arriving on time (thus forcing him to search shops at the eleventh hour for another ring she could wear in the interim).
On their wedding day, she wore both rings — and just as their proposal had proceeded under unforeseen circumstances, this day followed suit. Certainly no couple could have predicted the unprecedented challenges that would come with planning a 2020 wedding, but despite the adjustments those required, these two pulled off a perfect day for marking the start of their marriage!
Becca and Zac: Your day truly was magical and an obvious testament to all your attention to detail, as well as to your love for each other. We’re so glad to have gotten to share in it and hope you find we captured it in a way that does it justice!
