As a bartender, he was no stranger to seeing girls dressed in their best for a night on the town. But still, she stood out — first for her outer beauty and soon enough for all her other impressive attributes.

As for her: She soon enough found that any initial reservations she’d had about giving him a chance were replaced with an impression of him being the sweetest guy she’d ever known.

And fast-forward four and a half years: They’d built a life together and were so obviously committed to each other that friends and family were wondering when they’d make that commitment official. She was anticipating a proposal at any moment — yet somehow, he still managed to surprise her on the day last December when she arrived home to find an elaborate setup that led to him with a ring — and, of course, to a “yes” from her that’s paved the way for planning a wedding for next May!
