the story of
madeline + rick
and engagement photography in Kansas City
It was like something out of a nightmare, the way the glassware shattered on the ground and the guys in the kitchen yelled at her – just 19 and too new to the job to know their anger was actually in jest.
But what had her head spinning afterward, rather than this accident, was the kind co-worker who helped her clean it up. Maybe it was the ambiance of the theater where they worked in the heart of Kansas City, or maybe it was just him. But either way, she wasn’t wrong in sensing the start of their own story.
Of course, in those early inclinations she couldn’t have suspected that one of her worst days at work would ultimately lead to her wedding day, six years down the road. What Madeline Grosserode could clearly see from the outset, though, was that there was something special about Rick Schulenberg.
Madeline and Rick: “Something special” definitely describes what the two of you have! I loved getting to capture you together and can’t wait to document the day you say “I do” next spring.
