When he discovered they had the same birthday, he couldn’t say a word – at least not to her.

Revealing that information, after all, might require admitting he’d found it by researching the roster of the women’s basketball team for clues as to exactly who had caught his eye on the practice court. Instead, he would be patient. He would be strategic, too, in finding other ways to introduce himself into her world – until finally, one day, she’d notice his birthday on his Facebook profile and think she was the first to uncover that connection between them.

But little could Michelle Determan and Mike Ruba know, as college freshman, that the day of their births would be just the first of many things they’d share – or that his stealthy pursuit of her would ultimately lead to their wedding day, almost a decade later.
