She wasn’t in the practice of calling him crying. In fact, the first time she did, they weren’t more than casual friends – certainly not the kind you’d ask for a place to crash and a four-hour car ride.

But desperate times call for desperate measures, and during a spring break disaster that left her stranded in Chicago, she was definitely in the midst of one of those times. She eventually made it as far home as St. Louis, where she arrived at his family’s house with mascara-stained cheeks to find he’d arranged for her to have a change of clothes, a meal and a place to rest until she was ready to hit the road again, with him and the group of guys he’d rallied to drive her back to school in Warrensburg, Missouri.

He went above and beyond, because that’s who he was. And in the months that followed, as they began keeping in touch daily, he increasingly saw it was who she was, too. Two kind and caring hearts had found each other, for sure – which for Megan Ford and Adam Benson meant that one of her worst days had truly been for the best for them both.

Megan and Adam: Witnessing the two of you together was so heartwarming. I couldn’t ask for a better couple to capture, and after this awesome engagement session, I’m even more excited to photograph your big day!
