It may have been her first day of work, but he was the one who ended up with something to call home about. The most perfect girl had just started at his job, he told his parents, after the moment they’d crossed paths and made eye contact they’d both remember.

It would be a while before he’d work up the courage to actually talk to her – not just a beautiful woman, but one of few among the engineers at the firm where she took her first job out of college in June 2015. The talking would come in due time, though, and with it, a fast fall into something they’d feel the need to be cautious about at first, given their professional circumstances.

But as with anything meant-to-be, Katlyn Aschenbrenner and Caleb Collier couldn’t deny for long the connection that put them on a path to a forever kind of commitment.
