the story of
presley +theo
and wedding photography in Kansas City
~*~
This day was more than either of them knew to hope for back on 12.12.12, when they locked eyes in their university’s rec center and she lost her balance on the stair-stepper, just like a perfectly cute-but-clumsy heroine of a romantic comedy who didn’t suspect she was about to embark on the Great Love Story of her life.
Fast forward to 5.21.16, and she’d traded in her trusty sweatpants and T-shirt for the most stunning off-the-shoulder, lace-detailed, button-back dress. He looked the epitome of suave in his white tuxedo coat and cool-dude shades. Accents in blush and black gave their day a classic feel, and a hundred carefully planned details made it undeniably their own.
They said “I do” under a wooden arch adorned with flowers, under a blanket of clouds that came together at just the right time to give their ceremony just the right light. Then, in yet another act of kindness, the clouds held their rain until after the wedding party’s golf-cart caravan had finished with portrait-taking and returned to the clubhouse to get the celebration started.
We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and genuinely in-love couple to capture. Congrats, Mr. and Mrs. Dean (aka #TheDeanTeam), and may your joy on this day be just a fraction of what’s ahead!
